4th Annual Mustang Foundation Banquet – Get your tickets ordered today!

An evening spent with friends, enjoying fabulous desserts and raising money for a common cause. It’s not hard to see the appeal of the Mustang Foundation’s Annual Banquet coming on Saturday, January 26th.

The Mustang Foundation’s annual banquet is highlighted by the unique way of serving dessert. Numerous dessert chefs from within the community prepare lavish and indulgent desserts, in order to generate tips from the table they are serving. The chef with the largest amount of tips is declared the winner. Each year the dessert portion of the evening has become more entertaining as the desserts have become more extravagant. Last year’s desserts made by our volunteer celebrity dessert chefs raised over $8,000 in tips!

The evening also includes live and silent auctions, which generally have included items completely unique to this banquet.

This past January a sold out crowd enjoyed an evening of great food and fun, and raised over $2,000 toward the Foundation’s endowment and projects to improve the Independence Community School District.

This year’s banquet is scheduled for January 26, 2013 with social time scheduled to begin at 5:30 and dinner served shortly after 7:00. To order your tickets or to sponsor a table, please call Susan Johnson at 319-334-2413. This has been a sell out event every year, so plan on ordering your tickets early. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Remember to wear your maroon and white and show your Mustang spirit!

Anyone wanting to volunteer as a dessert chef, will receive a discounted ticket to the event if they sign up as a chef prior to December 31. Please contact Susan Johnson at the number above to volunteer.
